POST LASIK QUERY
Can a person's eye power increase because of dryness after LASIK? My post op LASIK astigmatism has increased in my right eye from -1.25 D ( one week post op) to -2 D ( one month post op). Spherical power also increased from +0.5 to -0.25. will this power fluctuate or will it remain same? What is the cause of this increase in power ? I was moderately myopic and astigmatic before LASIK. Rest reports are normal ( doctor didn't said anything abnormal about that reports ).
How is your vision at present? Are you happy with your post LASIK vision? Some changes in corneal parameters are normal after LASIK surgery. It takes 6 to 8 weeks to stabilize vision after surgery. Doctor will increase frequency of your lubricating drops. You have mentioned dryness post surgery. So that will also cause little fluctuation in cylinder power. Get your topography done to see all is well post op.
