To soothe tenderness in the tummy, focus on a gentle diet that includes bland foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet), lean proteins like chicken and fish, cooked vegetables like carrots and green beans, and easily digestible fruits like apples and pears, while avoiding spicy, fatty, or high-fiber foods that can irritate the stomach.
