D dimer may be raised for 3 weeks to 3 months post covid. It is important to monitor and continue the medications.

D dimer is a protein which lyses the clot. If d dimer is raised it is an indirect evidence that the clot has already occured. D dimer is raising indicates that hypercoagulable mechanism is still active.
