Polyhydramnios at 28 weeks

Hi am diagnosed with Polyhydramnios ( AFI - 21). I don't have diabetes and gtt test was normal. There was slight increase in thyroid for which I am taking thyronorm 25 mcg. Baby's weight and other factor except FL is good. FL is below 1centile. Previous NT and double marker scan and NIPT all showed low risk. What is the reason for low FL and polyhydramnios.

The cause for small femur length will never be known and even if someone could find the cause for small femur length, nothing can be done. As far as polyhydramnios is concerned there may be causes in the oesophagus and causes on the placenta.  Not all anomalies can be picked up by Prenatal Diagnosis. At no stage any Diagnostician will ever say that the baby is 100% safe. So please wait for the delivery of the child. Three possibilities: a) There may be no polyhydramnios. b ) There may be a visible anomaly which has caused polyhydramnios. c) There may not be any visible anomaly.

There could be no abnormalities at all or there can be congenital anomalies in the baby... kindly plan delivery at a centre with good NICU facility
