My grandfather age is 85 year in x-ray doctor told pleural in lungs. After thoracentesis and lab test of pleural liquid doctor told tuberculosis. What is the medicine for it because he is old and more than 85 years.

Hi, First the diagnosis need to be confirmed. As treatment of TB may continue for more than 6 months. Based on weight 4 drug ATT is given on daily basis. Before that liver function tests, HIV tests should be done and regular monitoring is required.
