Can an erupting wisdom tooth cause swelling or a hard lump on floor of mouth? i have a wisdom tooth erupting and a hard lump on the floor of mouth on the same side. the exact location is the sublingual gland. A flap like thing that is present there it is swollen and is hard pea sized now. is this normal or is this the C word. Please tell me the symptoms of C so that i can rule it out.

Yes it can be due to pericoronitis and the infection spreading . Or it can be a separate  involvement of ur submandibular salivary gland. Kindly consult a clinic

Please consult your dentist. Could be because of the tooth. An opg xray would help with the diagnosis. Your dentist will advice you for it
