Pink Lesion on Lateral Side of Tongue

I consulted Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He predicted Neurofibroma or Lipoma and advised for CT Scan. If it is benign can it be cured with medicine or still surgery is required? No Tobacco chewing habits. Please suggest.

Fine needle aspiration cytology and CT scan will be necessary to advise further treatment
