Pimples on cheeks and chin area

I have pimple around the cheeks and chin area.My pimples are not responding to any pimple creams gels and oral medication doxycycline. It is geting worse. I take care ofthe food i eat. Yet there are no changes. Is it the hormone imbalance thats causing acne? How do i get to know the main cause of acne?
