I had done my p.sinus surgery 1 year ago..it was a limberg flap process with excersion..i want to know is there any recurrence chance after flap surgery for pilonidal sinus..because i want to attend railway medical..please reply surgeons regarding reoccurring chances of p.sinus after limberg flap.process

Recurrence post pilonidal sinus surgery.is known.  Or it may involve a long healing time too. A therpeutic trial therefore may be considered before surgery.

Unfortunately pilonidal sinus can come back even after surgery and give bad name to the surgeon. The reported recurrence rate for Limberg flap varies from 0.8 to 2.7%
