Pilonidal Cyst Post-Op Swelling

I had pilonidal cyst surgery on the 28th where the area was closed over with a flap of skin. Sutures were taken out about a week ago and yesterday was my first day I was allowed to squat. Surgeon has today off. My site is swollen, not painful or warm to the touch, I hot pack it and the swelling goes down alittle. Is this swelling normal?
