If he is non Diabetic/non Hypertensive/ No retina pathology then can opt for a Multifocal intra ocular lens where the dependency for glasses is not there for far , intermediate and near works. Or else can go for Monofocal intra ocular lens where the dependency for glasses is not there for far but for near works will have to use reading glasses. Few of good brands are like Alcon, Hoya, Zeiss, AMO etc. Your Ophthalmologist will suggest you the best amongst the options available.
