PFM crown issue
Dear Sir/Madam,
My teeth number 7,8,9 (front side teeth) has PFM bridge (percelain fused to Metal) fixed 10 years ago.
Currently, junk on that metal surface. Because of this junk, teeth under that bridge may be have Decay. Doctor said first open that Bridge, after that only they can decide Filling OR Root canal require. Doctor also said 1 full day patient has to drink Cold/Hot water without Bridge to know sensitivity of that 3 teeth.
It means, I done big mistake by selecting PFM cap, 10 years ago.
In future, I have to go with All ceramic cap, PFZ, Zirconia OR Emax cap only, which do not contain METAL.

This bridge will remove and better go for rct to avoid post treatment sensitivity followed by full ceramic cap..

Yes , the teeth remain at its best when gone with metal free caps for both the reasons look and function.

please get your existing caps removed by the dentist and get a fresh xray to decide on the filling/ RCT with an all ceramic cap

Yes, you should go for RCT of respective teeth along with Full/All ceramic crown which does not contain metal! Also you should be aware of oral hygiene aids which will help you to maintain crowns and general oral health for longer duration.
