Persistent symptoms

I suffer from allergic rhinitis inclusive of scratchy throat with sticky thin mucus almost every day. Doctor suggested levocetrizine which helps but i am not sure how long i can take it?? Because as soon as I stop within a day, symptoms return. I know the trigger factors but it cannot be avoided so medicine is the only help. How long can I take levocetrizine?? Or any drug that can be safely taken everyday to control the said symptoms.

Allergic rhinitis, also called hay fever, is an allergic reaction that causes sneezing, congestion, itchy nose and sore throat. Pollen, pet dander, mold and insects can lead to hay fever symptoms.
