Hi, I have been experiencing persistent sore throat. I have visited doctor in the month of December, he examined it & told tonsillitis infection which is in a stage neither critical nor in a stage to ignore. He gave antibiotics. I used the course & also was gorgalling with betadine solution continuously for a week. I continued drinking warm water to get rid of the problem as suggested. Till almost yesterday I continued drinking hot water. Only yesterday I took the normal water throughout the day. Today again I feel the sore throat(difficulty in swallowing, throat irritation) Please suggest what to do?

Persistent throat irritation and difficulty in swallowing is unlikely to be because of infection. You may be suffering from reflux laryngopharyngitis which is type of acidity related disorder. You may need to take anti reflux medications for few weeks for long term benefits
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
