Perimenopause - Withdrawal bleeding

My mother was put on 21 days Primolut N for irregular periods. She had D&C biopsy on June 3rd and report said no sign of hyperplasia or malignancy seen. Disordered proliferative endometrium. She was put on the mentioned medicine and 2 days after stopping she got very heavy periods which is under control from day 3 after starting the Primolut N again as prescribed. Is this normal to get very heavy period after stopping the mini pill and is she under correct line of treatment ? Please suggest We have asked doctor to do hysterectomy if no relief, doctor told to wait and watch for 3 months and continue hormone medicine as Biopsy report is normal.
