PCV vaccine
Hi Doctor, For my kid 6th week vaccination completed at government healthcare center. There they given Penta, OPV, IPV, ROTA & PCV. Same five vaccines they are giving in 14th week also.
But in 10th week they are giving only three vaccines i.e. Penta, OPV and ROTA, not giving PCV and IPV.
Tomorrow is my kid 10th week vaccination day. So once we take three vaccines i.e Penta, OPV, ROTA for him in government center, same day can we go and take PCV vaccine at private hospital ?

You can take the PCV vaccine at private clinic but..
Govt schedule for PCV:
3 doses: 6wk, 14wk and 9 month
(This schedule followed by Govt of India, not followed anywhere in the world and no study to back it)
Private Schedule for PCV:
3+1 doses: 6wk, 10wk, 14wk and 1.5 year
(This schedule followed since several years in majority countries)
Problem is that don't give 6wk, 10wk, 14wk and 9 months to your child.
You will have to take 4 doses total, 2 at govt ie 6 wk and 10 wk (will have to miss the 9 month dose).
At private clinic: 10 wk and 1.5 year.
