"Both ovaries are mildly bulky and shows multiple small peripherally arranged follicles "Above statement is mentioned in my ultrasound report.I have regular periods however hair fall and acne problems. Shows symptoms of pcod . Thyroid report is normal. Hemoglobine is 12.5 . Doctor confirmed this as pcod .I have advised to take GYNAE- C.V.P capsule. Kindly advise me for the same and my concern is this problem should not be a big issue nd let me know how long i need to take this med and what are doses !?! Twice a day .?!? It can be cured or not.?!? Or is it related to when we are sexually active .?!? Had ipills before 2-3 times . Kindly guide me please.

It is not related to taking ipill or sex. It is a lifestyle disease, similar to diabetes, and affects periods or acne/ hair growth. It requires daily exercise and diet modification to keep under control. Currently medicines only control the symptoms ( hair-acne or period irregularity) and these problems are under control as long as u take the medicine only. Consult directly for detailed advice on how to keep your pcod under control
