Hi. After fixation of PCL avulsion fracture along with Meniscectomy, the knee brace can be used till 3 months for union of fracture. The movement of knee joint started after one month of surgery. The STG graft is semitendinosus muscle graft which along with Gracilis tendon is used for ligament reconstruction of either ACL or PCL. The swelling of knee usually takes couple of days to settle after surgery. The exercise post surgery like ankle pumps and straight leg raises can be done immediately. But knee bending takes 5 weeks to start after surgery. I hope it answers all your querries !!
