As per name of Panchkarma means 5 procedures i.e vaman (induced emesis) virechana (induced purgation) anuvasan vasti, Asthapan Vasti(a type of enema) raktmokshana (blood letting, ) or Nasya. but these all procedures not required to all peoples, it required depending upon the diseases.
some pre-procedures are like snehan (oleation) and swedan (steam bath)
other keraleeya panchkarma procedures is Shirodhara, sirovasti, netratarpan, udvartan pizhichil sarvangdhara and so many.
generally in panchkarma procedures total days 21-30days, it is not required to hospitalised. you can stay outside but not to allow work, exposure to sunlight and winds aircondition etc.
timing in the panchkarma depending upon procedures like body massage 30-45 minutes, steam bath 15-30 min, total timing per day is 3-5hrs required in the hospital.
treatment cost different as centre to centre...
