Palm turning blue is a sign of cyanosis(less blood supply to that particular part)It could be due to peripheral vascular disease ,which can occur in elderly due to constriction of vessels (blood vessels). Please go and see a physician for the same.

Hi, palm turning blue could be sign of cynosis, ie lack or reduced oxygen supply to hands, rubbing reduced the problem also supports the argument, still will not like to alarm you have by taking big names, will suggest u visit near by centre just to check her vitals like BP, RR, pulse, oxygen conc. Etc. Just want u to take precautions. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
