Pain under right ribs

2016-08-14 06:53:11
Having persistent cough for about two weeks for which I am taking ayurvedic medication prescribed by family doctor. But since two days gave been experiencing acute pain under my right middle ribs. There is no outward bruising. The ribs themselves don't pain. The pain is also not coming from the lungs. No pain due to breathing. Very sharp and right below the ribs, suspect it might be costochondritis.

It may be pleuritic pain from lung. Get an chest xray..and consult a physician/pulmonologist.

Hello There. I can understand your concern. I wanted to know if your cough has subsided? if not then do you have sputum or is it a dry cough? it could be something related to your lung also. kindly consult a pulmonologist in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards, Dr. Anil kumar jain.

Hello....... Local examination is required for diagnosis... Get an x ray of chest and ultrasound abdomen... Since you have persistent cough it could be something related to lung... Repeated excessive cough could also lead to chest pain. Consult general physician.
