Pain in right Lower neck to back

2020-02-18 10:51:42
Hi Doctor I woke up yesterday morning with pain in my right lower neck and back. Once I started with my daily routine I started feeling ok with the pain but it wasn't gone. Today morning while waking up, again the pain was more and it was painful to get up. During daily routine, pain is felt less but going to bed, Turing and getting up is becoming really painful. Please let me know what could have gone wrong and how to get rid of the pain. Regards Sandhya

Hi Sandhya...pain in the neck and going upto your back can be a sign of early cervical disc disease (especially if your daily routine includes use of mobile phones and laptops).
Next Steps
The best next step would be to go and see an orthopaedic surgeon. But in the meanwhile, you may apply a hot water bag over your neck (twice a day for 10 min), then apply any painkilling Gel. Also, avoid using pillow while sleeping, keep mobile phone away from your body while looking at its screen and raise the level of your laptop screen so that it is at the same level as your eyes.
