Gallbladder removal surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) is advised 6 weeks after delivery. Baby is already 4 weeks old. She can get the surgery done after 2 weeks. It’s better to get the surgery done as the stones will keep troubling her. Laparoscopic procedure is less painful than open surgery and patient recovers faster and mostly discharged on 2nd day after surgery.
Next Steps
Consult a general surgeon and plan surgery in 2 weeks
