Pain in chest after quitting smoking

2018-05-09 14:51:07
I'm a smoker, not a chainsmoker but avg 4-5 cigs a day type. it's been over 6 years now, on and off. but the problem is every time I try to quit, a pain in chest starts to occur with in a day and when it does, I'm unable to breathe. I once tried to consult with a doctor about this worring about any heart related disease but ecg was ok.

Hi. I understand your concern s. You will need to undergo a detailed examination and investigation like chest x ray and pulmonary function test which is needed for the diagnosis. Consult a pulmonologist for the same at the earliest. Do not neglect.

This is non specific chest pain. Symptomatic treatment is recommended
