Overfeeding

I breastfeed my one month old daughter. She feeds and spits milk so often. I feed her whenever she cries.  She spits up lots of milk while sleeping or when tried to burp or just like that also. Sometimes she wakes up uncomfortable and it feels something is stuck in her throat. Is it possible that babies drink milk even if they are not hungry? Am I overfeeding?

Babies often demand breast feed. Some demand more than others, whereas who use sucking on breast as comfort to get to sleep. To answer if this is over feeding- one needs to see serial weights to know if there is more than normal expected weight gain indicative of overfeeding or less than adequate weight gain indicating that the spitting/vomiting is leading to reduced intake
