Had viral fever and cough 10 days back, now coughing is remaining with orange mucus in the morning i was a smoker in past and had quit recently, now limited to occassional smoking

Orange Red color cough raises suspicious query.  You need to get a chest xray done and consult a pulmonologist.  Since you are in noida you can consult me as well.
