One testicle

I lost my right testicle to torsion 1 year ago. Right one was fixed with 3-0 stitches. Everything is mostly good except i developed a varicocele after the surgery( had an ultrasound 6 months later ) ( told to monitor for 1 year and then they said will see what to do). Sometimes my testicle feels colder than the rest of the surrounding skin. General Surgeon said this is normal and needed for spermatogenesis and that there is no circulation issue as I have a varicocele too. Question - is it normal for testicle to feel colder than rest surrounding skin like thighs. Also is varicocele any risk for further torsion ?
