You should not mention the blood sugar status which is necessary to rule out the Diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy is serious culprit for recurrent vitrous haemorrhage.

Old vitreous haemorrhage is an indication for complete retina examination to see any tears in the retina , if so there is 50% chance of repeat haemorrhage. In any case it needs laser treatment.
