There are usually multiple factors which interact with each other and may together contribute to development of these illness.
One can't pin point a single cause.
Anxiety disorders and OCD are more common with IBS due to similar mechanisms involved
Also, there are theories saying that gut/intestine and brain are connected.
So, it cant be concluded that OCD can lead to IBS, though IBS may occur more commonly in patients with OCD than those without it.
