OCD has both biological as well as psychological factors acting together. Medicines will tale care of the biological part but therapy is required to control the psychological factors. Without proper psychotherapy, relapse may occur soon depending upon the symptom type of OCD and the severity of same. Thus it is recommended to start psychotherapy as well and then gradually attempt withdrawal of medicine under guidance of your doctor. This will help in achieving better long term results.

Usually if a patient reports improvement with the medication to the level that he has recovered or has minimal symptoms, the same medication has to be continued for 1-2years, preferably 2 years.... then gradual tapering is done But ocd can recur after stopping the medications
Next Steps
It is advisable to be on a close follow up with a psychiatrist while on the medications
