Numbness in hand while sleeping

Hello Doctor, Today suddenly I woke up after experiencing acute numbness in left hand (from wrist, plam and fingers) and also kind of discomfort all over the hand and till the left side of the head. Is there anything to be worried because it happened while I was sleeping and made me to wake up. Thanks, AA

There is nothing to worry if it has happened only due to sleep.. sometimes in sleep , nerves compression occurs unknowingly,.. it gets resolved soon after u change position.. if it remains for long or occurs frequently then it is worrisome . Consult neurosurgeon immediately at tht time

Nothing to worry if it lasted only for sometime and improved later . If it is still weak or numb , please consult a neurologist immediately..
