Hello doctor my son 4years old now. Yesterday he said he have itching in novel region mild reddness present around novel. He is completely normal at evening . In the same night he is suffering with fever iam using fephanil syrup. Still he is having fever and no improvement. Is it normal doctor pls suggest me pls see the novel region iam enclosed the image

Hi You can use mupirocin ointment in the navel region thrice a day and continue the fever medication 6th hourly

Unable to appreciate any redness around umbilicus, applh coconut oil around if Fever seems to be unrelated to this Give paracetamol timely in adequate doses as per weight And if fever persists for long Consult online/offline May require investigations and antibiotics
