No improvement in jock itch

I (think) I'm having jock itch for some weeks now, I consulted a doctor and he suggested Ketoconazole 2% cream for 2 weeks. But no improvement is seen, and the amount of itch hasn't changed much (I can't sleep either) . During 2nd consultation, doctor prescribed to use Propygenta NF cream, but since it's a steroid cream, I have my suspicions before using it. I want to confirm if I do have jock itch or some other skin disease. What should I do now. Should I take tests?

Fungus or yeast infection....common around skin folds like thighs and genitals.. avoid sweating, sharing clothes, towels and soap.. specific medicine required depends on the severity.. for detailed prescription do direct online consultation by sending photos.

My advise will be to go for a consultation with a dermatologist for examination with images, to diagnose the problem accurately. Please do not use OTC drugs as it worsens the condition and makes diagnosis more difficult. Right treatment is possible only with right diagnosis!
