New moles appearing on the body
I had a PET CT Scan with FDG and Contrast. The next day I observed red itchy rashes on my skin on the entire body. For the rashes, I am taking avil tablet and applying diprovate cream.
However, I also observed a few new moles on my body, one mole near both the knees, and a mole like irregular patch on the penis. Has it got somethkng to do with the PET/CT Scan?
I would also like to mention I am suffering from relapsing fever for past 6 months and for last one week I have been taking doxycycline
Two possibility 1 allergic to dye injected for pet scan or 2nd allergic to doxycycline, There is more chances of dye allergy
Next Steps
You should drink plenty of fluids to flush out dye. Consult your doctor to you have severe symptoms to stop or continue doxycycline
