Thanks for the query. A skin biopsy or a dermatoscopy should be performed to full proof the clinical diagnosis and to access the depth of pigmentation. This will also give an idea about the degree of success that can be achieved after Q-switched Laser therapy. Sometimes it has to be combined with fractional CO2 lasers and combination yields better results. The best Q switched machine is Revlite presently. It usually takes a few sessions for appreciable clearance, say 6 or 8. Each session may cost you around rs 6000-8000 depending on the machine standards and competence of the dermatologist performing it.
