Why Frontal lobotomy was done in past?
But,why another brain structures was not the target for lobotomy,only Frontal lobe?
Can Frontal lobe activate another brain structures? Please describe in detail if possible.
Kindly first tell me why frontal lobe was removed. Was there history of head injury or tumour. Frontal lobe is generally involved in traumatic cases due to its superficial location in respect to skull.
If it is injured it causes various neuropsychiatric symptoms such as uninhibited and aggressive behavior, impulsive behavior, memory problems, repetition of one task or word again and again, in some cases increase sexual desire.
