Need suggestion on dialysis

Hi all, I am having fsgs with creatinine levels as 6.0 and I was operated av fistula 3 weeks back. For now I was asked to undergo dialysis through neck as hand made fistula works only after 45 days by my vascular surgeon. could you please let me know if there is any waiting period to get dialysis done via the operated hand.

Unless the fistula is matured i.e. veins are developed enough to support the blood flow required for the hemodialysis, it can not be used. Meanwhile if the situation arise as in need of emergency hemodialysis, HD catheter placement will be the only option for hemodialysis. Peritoneal dialysis is another option.
