Yesterday met with an small accident and got some scratches on the knee, need your suggestions to use cipladine ointment. Is it OK to use for open wounds and cuts. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Cipladane contains povidone iodine. It's used as a antiseptic and antibacterial. Yes, you can use it on wounds. Apply a very thin layer over the wound once or twice a day. Take a TT injection also. Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain.
