Hi...I understand your concern and feeling towards your health...i guess surgery is nothing to do with your knee pain...may be its due to osteo arthritis.. Treatment options are analgesics, NSAIDs,intraosseous steroid injection and hyaluronic acid injections,Physiotherapy like strengthening exercises etc ...Consult nearest orthopedic surgeon they will do the needful.
