I have been diagnosed with necrotizing granuloma with clinical mycobacterial infection in the abdominal lymph nodes EUS cytology with ZN special stain negative for mycobacteria in microbiology. Can this be concluded as TB?? Help in looking for an online consultation..

It s highly possible it’s tuberculosis infection. It’s curable disease. You need more tests like Gene Xpert MGIT. Suggest to share reports and consult Dr Nitin Jain GI Surgeon

There is high Possibility of tuberculosis. It is very difficult to confirm tb. Various tests are now available. Some latest tests have also come now for this.
