This occurs usually due to an acute facet joint(locked joint) movement restriction and associated intervertebral disc derangement( a mild bulge in the disc of your neck).if you had any injury to your neck you should proceed only after taking an x-ray and u have to rule out any fracture or dislocation.if not then you can continue with the following treatment
Next Steps
Physiotherapy: Intermittent pelvic traction (8-10kgs,12 minutes)for three days along with interferential therapy(IFT) for the neck region, this would relieve the irritable neural tension in your neck and you will gain some flexibilty. after this u can switch to intermittent cervical traction(ICT) with 4 kgs weight,10 minutes, along with IFT,wax therapy can be given over the neck region, continue this for one week
Health Tips
Avoid long drive in two wheeler, give proper neck support while sleeping.

Hi Sprain in neck from two weeks is a sign that your neck muacles are getting extra load/ pressure. We need to take care of our neck posture to relieve stress over those muscles. Initially fr few days can start with hot water bag for 10 mins. Than start sitting erect while doing your work like while using your mobiles, reading etc. It should take two three days to subside pain gradually. Start doing some simple chin tuck exercises and mild neck strengthening exercises next week . It should work for you. Regards
