Nausea, Bleeding before date of period

I've been having intercourse with my husband and yesterday i had bleeding and nausea. So i purchased pregnancy kit and found negative when i diagnosed morning with my early morning urine. I don't have much knowledge about it. I have googled and a there's ectopic pregnancy word popped out. Is it possible to have ectopic pregnancy with negative test result on pregnancy kit? Can sonography detect in early pregnancy stage? It's been 10 days we're having intercourse. I'm 25yo. Please do reply. Thanks.
