My father is suffering from cough ...and from 6-7, days he is suffering.becz of cough he is not able to sleep properly at night...so doctor plz prescribe some medicines...

Get an chest x-ray, a sputum examination and a cbc done first, since it has been more than 6-7days and any other relevant history too, like had he been travelling before the cough began, any allergies, history of any disease or history of smoking?
