Orthodontic treatment always have to b completed with retainers so please ask your doctor to give a fixed retainer in lower arch or else it will relapse one day as transept all fibres require minimum 8-9 months to settle

Generally a retainer is required for both upper and lower teeth after orthodontic treatment. Consult your doctor again to reconfirm
