The description that you have mentioned is quite non specific and can be due to multiple reasons. Some of these causes can be either gum inflammation in that area or pericoronitis near wisdom tooth or even some ulceration due to multiple reasons.
You should consult a dentist as soon as possible for a proper clinical examination. The right treatment can be suggested only after the right diagnosis.
Medications can only provide temporary symptomatic relief but will not cure any dental problem.
