Moderate mucoid degenerative changes

I am an 18year old kabaddi player. Got injured while playing. Anterior cruciate ligament appears lax with diffuse degenerative changes. No discontinuity in fibres. Knee swollen but little pain. Problem in bending. Do mucoid degeneration is curable only through surgery? Will this injury ruin my career in kabaddi?

Firstly please do ood tests to rule out inflammatory causes. Secondly please get the help of a sports physio who can fashion a program for knee rehabilitation which will include Strengthening,  proprioception and balance training. Targeted activity to achieve the above is needed. If you don't then you risk damaging your knee further.
