I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy I am 23 year old and My doctor suggested me to have TORCH IgG 4 profile the result is as follows 1. Toxoplasma- negative (0.21) 2. Rubella- positive (1.74) 3. CMV- positive (4.70) 4. Herpes- negative(0.11) What does it mean.is it dangerous if I have intercourse with my partner. Please suggest me

Hi Torch IgG positive indicates a past infection and is not a matter of concern. Its IgM positivity that shows a recent infection and has association with recurrent abortions. Dont worry, its not unsafe for you or your husband to have intercorse. You however must get a complete profile done to avoid further abortions
