These are few points that give hint that breastmilk is adequate:
1. Baby sleeps after direct breastfeeding for atleast 30 min.
2. Frequent (3-4 hourly) passage of urine on only breastfeeding
3. Leaking of milk from other breast while feeding from one side.
4. Adequate weight gain on only breastfeeding (approx 1 kg per month for first 3 months).
There can be difference in milk output in feeding and pumping as feeding itself stimulates more milk production.
