Section examined shows multiple, tiny biopsy tissue pieces lined by keratinized stratified squamous epithelium showing hyperplasia and acanthosis. Focal mild dysplasia is noted in the lining epithelium. The scant underlying fibrocollagenous stroma shows moderate to marked mixed inflammation comprising of lymphocytes, plasma cells, eosinophils and few neutrophils. One of the bit shows granulation tissue formation. Impression: Excision biopsy from tongue :- mild focal dysplasia. Advised: 1) Clinico-radiological correlation. 2) Repeat biopsy from representative area to rule out invasion and malignancy .

Hi repeat biopsy is genuinely recommended in this case. Better to go for surgical excision or RT even if repeat bx shows focal mild dysplasia

Please review with patient and reports. A repeat biopsy would be strongly recommended.
