Mid back pain increasing to back of legs

I have been having mid to lower back pain and it has been running all the way through my buttocks to the back of my knees and it's been going on like this for 3 days I work as a prep cook and I work 40 hrs a week. I'm thinking it may be my shoes but I don't know?
